International Workshop: Overview of Health Informatics for Low- and Middle-Income Countries

MEASURE Evaluation, funded by the United States Agency for International Development, is pleased to announce the international workshop on “Health Informatics,” for English-speaking professionals. The workshop is sponsored by the Kenyatta University School of Public Health and MEASURE Evaluation, in collaboration with the Global Evaluation and Monitoring Network for Health (GEMNet-Health). The one-week course will be held July 23–27, 2018, in Nairobi, Kenya.

The course, which is taught in English, is designed for middle- to advanced-level health information systems professionals involved in the implementation of public health programs. The course provides intensive, hands-on training in health informatics, from basics to emerging concepts as they apply to health information systems in low- and middle-income countries. This is an intermediate-level course and is suitable for professionals with or without prior experience in health informatics but who know how health information systems function.

The total course fee is U.S. $2,100 inclusive of the workshop tuition, accommodation, partial board (breakfast daily and lunch on days when the workshop is in session), and round-trip airport transfers. 

Applications must be submitted to Kenyatta University by 29 June, 2018.
