Team Leader Named M&E Advisor for Global Health Initiative

MEASURE Evaluation team leader, Erin Eckert, has been named M&E Advisor for the Global Health Initiative at USAID. Erin played and instrumental role in global coordination of M&E activities for HIV and is a pioneer in M&E of global Malaria programs.

Erin Eckert, the team leader for MEASURE Evaluation at ICF Macro, has been named Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor for the Global Health Initiative at USAID.  Erin is one of the longest serving members of the MEASURE Evaluation team. 

"I am very sorry that she will be leaving us but this is a great opportunity for her and I am very pleased that her experience and expertise has been recognized in this way," said MEASURE Evaluation project director, Dr. Sian Curtis.

Erin worked as a graduate research assistant and later as a research associate on the original EVALUATION project while at Tulane University. She then served as the team leader for the project at John Snow, Inc. for MEASURE Evaluation Phase I before moving to her current position as the team leader for the project at ICF Macro.  

Erin played an instrumental role in early efforts in global coordination of M&E activities for HIV including in the UNAIDS M&E Reference Group when it was first established, and has been a pioneer in the M&E of global malaria programs. She has brought a tremendous amount of experience and strategic insight to the project over the years and her contribution has been considerable and greatly valued.
