There is no specific HIS strategic plan but, in order to achieve the goals of NHRS, a public initiative group was created to plan health reform including HIS.

Data are routinely collected but there is not an officially approved set of national core health indicators.

Ukraine doesn’t have any legal act that approves the collection of set indicators. However, many of the indicators recommended by the World Health Organization are collected.

A National HIS coordinating body was planned in 2013. However, only a Coordination Council was created which doesn't have executive power. The last council meeting was in 2013.
